Mystical tempera painting drawing from a vivid dream and a childhood memory of Las Posadas (a holiday votive procession celebrated in San Antonio), Leaving Babylon offers no resolutions, but presents paths. When living in an empire in twilight, is it abandonment to seek the light of another world? Or, by holding our own small light sources, do we illuminate the faint path back up the crumbling towers together?
